Role Purpose
We are looking for a Senior Liquidity Manager responsible for ensuring continuous availability, optimization, and control of liquidity across real-time payment systems. . Relevant, practical experience in daily operational activities is a key prerequisite.
This role owns the funding side of payments, making sure that:
- every transaction always has available funding
- liquidity is efficiently allocated and automatically managed
- the system operates 24/7 without interruption
1. Real-Time Liquidity Ownership
- Manage of liquidity across real-time payment systems
- Define: liquidity buffers, threshold levels, intraday and weekend funding strategies
- Ensure continuous liquidity availability in a 24/7 environment
2. Liquidity Allocation & Optimization
- Control and optimize balances
- Set and monitor thresholds and rules
3. Automation & Funding Flows
- Design and oversee funding mechanisms
- Integrate and manage allocation
Ensure:
- zero manual dependency
- no liquidity-related payment failures
4. Liquidity Risk & Alerting
Define and operate:
- alerting thresholds
- escalation procedures
- Manage scenarios like:
- liquidity depletion
- abnormal payment spikes
- weekend liquidity stress
5. Cross-Border Liquidity
- Manage nostro accounts and sponsor bank balances
- Oversee FX liquidity flows
6. Collaboration
Work closely with:
- IT Technologie
- Finance / Accounting
- Reconciliation team
- Compliance
Required Skills
Strong understanding of:
- real-time payment systems
- central bank settlement (RTGS / VIBER)
Experience with:
- liquidity optimization
- treasury operations
- Familiarity with SWIFT, VIBER, GIRO
- Ability to think in flows and constraints
Advanced professional qualification
English knowledge – Native Hungarian
5-8 professional experience (at financial services sector).
Relevant, practical experience in daily operational activities is a key prerequisite.
