Job Responsibilities
As a Manager in the Risk Consulting Advisory Services Team, you will:
· Drive and lead the day-to-day execution of a number of Governance, Risk and Compliance (“GRC”) engagements, with a focus on engagements in the Banking and Financial Institutions sector. This will include the performance of such engagements including the effective management of their commercial aspects. Such activities may include the design and development of risk assessments, annual audit plans, audit programs, working papers, internal audit reports, and other deliverables based on the specific engagement requirements;
· Supervise, coach and review the work performed by other members within the team;
· Advise engagement leaders of progress on the job and any developments that may lead to a change of plan;
· Ensuring timely completion of assigned engagement phases. Organise tasks to meet deadlines and rearrange based on changes to team and business priorities;
· Present results and recommendations to leaders and to client management and ensure the preparation of clear and concise audit reports, including the review of the work of more junior staff members;
· Establish your financial services knowledge through sharing and participation in the continual development and publication of thought leadership and service offerings;
· Ensure collaboration with firm-wide subject matter experts for the effective execution of internal audit engagements;
· Use knowledge of the firm’s offering and an awareness of market trends to actively generate new business opportunities in these sectors;
· Take responsibility for own development and actively coach, mentor and share expertise with team members; and,
· Develop and maintain a positive, productive, collaborative professional relationship with the client and engagement managers to provide well-coordinated and consistent high-performance results.
Required Qualifications and Skills
· Minimum of 5 years’ experience working on the implementation and monitoring of regulatory requirements in the banking and/or financial services environment;
· Education – university degree in banking, accountancy, finance, management or business administration, or similar;
· Technical knowledge on local and European Banking and FI regulations and compliance obligations;
· Knowledge of the systems and processes used in the implementation and compilation of regulatory returns;
· Knowledge of financial reporting within Banks and FIS;
· Knowledge of good governance practices for a robust regulatory reporting function;
· Role also needs someone who is ambitious and is a strong relationship builder.
