Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee the entire finance department, ensuring high performance, professional development, and alignment with the group’s strategic goals.
- Direct the preparation of full-set statutory accounts and annual reports. Deliver insightful financial analysis and management reports to the Board for informed decision-making.
- Act as the MIC of the finance and accounting functions for all the SFC RA. Ensure accuracy and timely daily FRR calculation and monitoring, daily reconciliation and segregation of client trust money and submission of monthly FRR.
- Drive the annual budgeting process, perform variance analysis and implement robust cost-control measures to optimize the company’s capital structure.
- Establish and refine internal accounting policies and SOPs. Liaise with external auditors, tax consultants and regulatory bodies to ensure full compliance with accounting standards and SFC regulations.
- Oversee treasury functions, including client deposit/withdrawal oversight, trust account management and liquidity risk monitoring.
- Identify opportunities to enhance accounting systems and streamline workflows to improve departmental efficiency.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or above in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Qualified Accountant (CPA/ACCA or equivalent) is mandatory.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant accounting experience within the SFC-licensed financial services sector, with at least 3 years in a managerial or leadership capacity.
- Experience in insurance brokerage or credit finance is an advantage.
- Solid knowledge of the Securities and Futures Ordinance and FRR requirements.
- Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Excellent command of written and spoken Mandarin, Cantonese and English.
