What We’re Looking For
- 3–10 years of management experience in billing at a large law firm
- Expertise in complex fee arrangements and billing processes
- Experience with Aderant (a plus, not required)
- Strong people management skills: coaching, staff development
- Ability to thrive in a collaborative environment – personality fit is key
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop the Billing team, overseeing personnel, workflow, and performance management
- Monitor billing processes to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with policies
- Partner with attorneys and staff to design invoicing that meets client needs
- Provide reporting and billing updates to firm leadership
- Drive process improvements and implement billing solutions using legal billing applications
- Recruit, mentor, and develop staff while fostering a positive team culture
Skills & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree preferred (or equivalent combination of training and experience)
- Strong project management, communication, and analytical skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel; experience with electronic billing systems a plus
