The Finance Controller ensures management and delivery of business partnership, FP&A, accounting, treasury, and tax management in order to enhance Aon’s business & financial position and ensure integrity of its financial records. The position will be responsible for directly managing finance planning & reporting functions & team in the Aon Reinsurance entity based in Khobar, Saudi Arabia.

What the day will look like
Business Finance
- Business partner to CEO and Business heads on finance issues and their impact on business decisions, particularly tracking business performance (revenue walk, cost management, working capital and cash management etc) against budget, forecast and prior periods
- Responsible for forecasting, budgeting, analysis, and management reporting in coordination with Middle East regional FP&A team
- Responsible to coordinate with Business leaders for the development of cost/benefit analysis to support investments decisions
- Create and enhance the FP&A processes to suit changing business needs
- Collaborator management and timely handling of blocking issues (Regional CFO/ Business Leaders/Legal & Compliance etc) to resolve issues
- Review monthly results and variance reporting, plus drive quarterly result
Financial Reporting and accounting
- Build and maintain timely and accurate financial statements and reports that are appropriate for the users and in accordance with GAAP/IFRS
- Monitor and ensure compliance with business and financial policies & procedures
- Provide recommendation to changes in process and/or systems, upon agreement, implement those changes
Compliance and Audits
- Review and interpret various GAAP/IFRS standards and apply knowledge to technical accounting policy interpretation and development. As relevant determine and prepare for the future effects of future GAAP/IFRS pronouncements
- Prepare all supporting information for the annual audit, lead issues relating to audits and liaise with internal and external auditors for proper planning/resourcing
- Ensure all statutory and regulatory filings
Treasury & Tax
- Drive cash-flow enhancement initiatives
- Support the management in investments, dividend, and other decisions
- Manage tax related activities and work with Tax consultant to meet Aon’s obligations and objective including all taxes filing, Transfer pricing co-ordination etc.
Team management, leadership, and coaching
- Guides others in developing their full potential.
- Establishes goals, monitors performance against these goals, and provides feedback.

Skills and experience that will lead to success
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- Preferably qualified accountant
Knowledge
- Proficiency with current financial software
Skills and Attributes.
- Excellent verbal, organisational and communication skills, used to work with C-level management
- Ability to identify, manage and resolve internal control issues
- Confident, accurate, self-motivated and resilient
- Discrete, diplomatic, flexible and reliable
- Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines
- Possess a good customer and business/commercial perspective
Experience.
- 5-10 years’ experience in finance controllership function
