The Financial Analyst I, Decision Support System supports the hospital’s Decision Support and Cost Accounting System by maintaining financial and patient data, preparing reports and analyses, and assisting with data quality and system maintenance. This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their finance career who enjoys working with data, solving problems, and supporting informed decision-making across a world-renowned pediatric healthcare organization.
Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with maintaining patient and financial data within the Decision Support and Cost Accounting System, including data validation and routine system maintenance.
  • Prepare recurring monthly reports and ad hoc financial analyses to support management decision-making.
  • Utilize data visualization tools to present financial information and improve reporting capabilities.
  • Support hospital-wide projects under the guidance of the Decision Support team.
  • Assist with external data submissions, ensuring timely and accurate reporting while helping resolve data discrepancies.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across Finance and other departments to support organizational goals.
  • Complete additional projects and responsibilities as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a closely related field.

Experience:

  • No prior professional experience required.
  • Relevant internships, co-ops, academic projects, or analytical experience are encouraged.

Preferred Skills

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
  • Foundational knowledge of financial analysis, reporting, and financial modeling.
  • Interest in working with large datasets and developing analytical solutions.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines.
  • Willingness to learn new financial systems, reporting tools, and technologies.
