Position Summary:
Our growing and acquisitive $65MM Agricultural / Manufacturing client is searching for a VP of Finance & Accounting to lead the Finance, Accounting & Treasury functions. You will report to the COO, will work closely CEO daily and will advise on the performance and strategy of the business.
You will develop an understanding of the company’s products, markets, and business strategy and perform financial analysis that provides insight into operational and business decision making, including pricing and margins, purchasing, and operating costs. In addition to leadership skills, experience in International business and M&A due diligence / integration experience is highly desired and a differentiating factor.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Be a close business partner of the COO / CEO helping to develop a business-wide strategic plan and contributing to the senior leadership team’s relentless execution against that plan.
- Oversee preparation of Financial Statements – P&L, BS and Cash Flow. Develop detailed revenue, balance sheet and cash flow forecasts.
- Lead the corporate budgeting process in partnership with company management to align department objectives with long term company goals.
- Develop Key Performance Indicators and reporting processes to help senior management and ownership track, analyze, and improve the operating performance of the business.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and establish and maintain internal controls to maximize the protection of company assets and improve the accuracy and consistency of reported financial results.
- Drive company productivity and fuel growth by identifying cost savings and opportunities to fund investments with strong ROI.
- Assist in the due diligence and execution of acquisition opportunities and lead the financial integration process.
- Maintain all banking relationships and initiate strategies to strengthen cash position.
Requirements:
- 12+ years of progressive Controllership / financial management & leadership experience
- Strong financial acumen and strategic thinking skills, with a track record of driving financial performance and contributing to business growth.
- M&A and integration acumen is attractive.
- Ideally experience with ERP systems and leadership over IT and Treasury.
- Early career experience with a public accounting firm is a plus.
- An undergraduate degree in business, finance or accounting; a CPA is preferred, or MBA is valued.
Comp to $200,000 base plus a 20% bonus and relocation will be provided.
