Position Overview
A growing organization is seeking a Vice President of Client Finance to lead financial reporting and client finance operations. This role will oversee client financial relationships, ensure accuracy and transparency in reporting, and provide strategic financial guidance to both internal leadership and external stakeholders. This is a high-impact leadership position within a dynamic, service-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing client finance team
- Establish performance expectations and drive accountability
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement and professional development
Client Service & Relationship Management
- Ensure timely and accurate delivery of client financial reporting
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted financial advisor
- Partner with clients to develop tailored financial solutions
Financial Management & Reporting
- Oversee monthly financial reporting processes and ensure accuracy and compliance
- Develop and maintain SOPs, KPIs, and performance metrics
- Lead annual budgeting processes and ensure timely, compliant submissions
- Analyze financial data to provide insights into performance and trends
Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure adherence to all relevant financial regulations and standards
- Implement internal controls to mitigate risk and safeguard client assets
- Stay current on regulatory changes and industry trends
Strategic Planning & Process Improvement
- Partner with senior leadership on strategic initiatives and growth planning
- Drive process improvements, systems enhancements, and operational efficiency
- Provide financial insights to support business decisions, pricing, and client strategy
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA preferred
- 10+ years of financial management experience, with strong exposure to month-end close and reporting
- Industry experience in property management, real estate, or hospitality strongly preferred
- Experience with HOAs, co-ops, or condo financials (NYC or Florida preferred)
- Proven leadership experience managing and developing teams
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, budgeting, and financial analysis
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Experience with financial systems (e.g., Yardi, Oracle, SAP, PeopleSoft)
