Overview

We are seeking to appoint a Head of Finance to lead and oversee the finance function across multiple entities. This role is responsible for ensuring the efficient and accurate delivery of financial operations, reporting, budgeting, regulatory compliance, and governance across the Group.

Reporting directly to senior leadership, the successful candidate will manage day-to-day finance activities while supporting strategic growth, operational transformation, and expansion initiatives.

The Role

The Head of Finance will oversee core financial operations while supporting planning, reporting, and governance across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day finance operations across the Group and its entities
  • Ensure accurate accounting records, reconciliations, invoicing, payments, and month-end reporting
  • Prepare management accounts, financial reports, forecasts, KPIs, and analysis
  • Monitor cash flow, budgets, costs, and financial performance
  • Coordinate audits and liaise with auditors, tax advisors, banks, and authorities
  • Ensure submission of VAT returns, tax filings, and statutory obligations
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning
  • Perform profitability analysis and financial risk assessments
  • Support strategic decision-making through financial insights
  • Drive improvements in financial systems, controls, and reporting processes
  • Support finance transformation and standardisation across jurisdictions
  • Strengthen governance, compliance, and internal controls
  • Collaborate with operational teams and support finance function development

Requirements

  • Warranted Accountant in Malta
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a senior finance role
  • Strong technical accounting and financial management knowledge
  • Experience managing finance operations across multiple entities and/or jurisdictions
  • Experience with ERP systems and financial reporting tools considered an asset
  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and controls
  • Experience within professional services, corporate services, legal, or financial services environments
