The Vice President of Business Development is a core leader responsible for the company's strategic growth and external resource integration, overseeing the overall business expansion strategy, strategic partnerships, development of significant business opportunities, and new business development. As a member of the senior management team, this position drives the company towards sustainable growth, market expansion, and long-term competitive advantage.
**Key Responsibilities:**
I. Business Development Strategy Formulation:
* Formulate medium- to long-term business development and growth strategies based on the company's overall strategy;
* Identify new markets, industries, and business opportunities;
* Build diversified growth paths (organic growth, collaborative expansion, investment and M&A);
* Develop annual business development goals and action plans.
II. Strategic Partnership and Cooperation Management:
* Develop and manage key strategic partners;
* Promote channel expansion, alliance cooperation, and ecosystem building;
* Negotiate major cooperation agreements and commercial terms;
* Maintain long-term, stable partnerships and resource synergy.
III. Market Expansion and Business Opportunity Development:
* Drive market entry strategies for new regions and industries;
* Lead the expansion of major clients and key projects;
* Assess market potential and the competitive environment;
* Support the sales and marketing teams in achieving growth targets.** IV. Investment, M&A, and Strategic Project Support
Identify potential investment and M&A opportunities;
Participate in due diligence, valuation analysis, and transaction negotiations;
Promote post-investment integration and synergistic value realization;
Participate in major company-level strategic projects.
V. Performance Management and Growth Analysis
Establish a business development KPI system and target management mechanism;
Analyze growth data and market trends to optimize strategic direction;
Manage business development budgets and resource allocation;
Report growth results and risks to the CEO or Board of Directors.
VI. Cross-Departmental Collaboration and Strategic Implementation
Work closely with sales, marketing, product, operations, and finance teams;
Promote the cross-departmental implementation of strategic projects;
Coordinate resources to support major collaborations and new business launches;
Ensure business development aligns with the company's core capabilities.
VII. Risk and Compliance Management
Manage cooperation risks, contract risks, and investment risks;
Ensure business activities comply with relevant laws and company policies;
Establish cooperation evaluation and exit mechanisms;
Maintain the company's brand and long-term business reputation.
Qualifications
Education Background
Bachelor's degree or above in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or a related field;
MBA preferred.
Work Experience:
Over 20 years of experience in business development, strategic planning, or business management;
At least 15 years of experience in senior business development or strategic roles;
A track record of successfully driving significant collaborations or new business growth;
Experience in investment, M&A, or strategic projects is preferred.
