Tax Manager $120,000-$160,000 base salary (depending on experience) Greater Phoenix, AZ (Fully Remote) Vaco has partnered with a small public high-tech manufacturing company to hire a Tax Manager. This role provides broad ownership over tax compliance, reporting, and process improvement initiatives within a growing public company environment. You’ll partner cross-functionally with internal teams and external advisors to support compliance, strengthen controls, and drive operational efficiency across the tax function.

Responsibilities include:
Manage federal, state, and local tax compliance, including income, sales, and franchise tax filings. Oversee tax provisions, estimated payments, and coordination with external tax advisors. Monitor tax law changes and assess impact on company operations and reporting. Support tax audits and regulatory inquiries while maintaining accurate documentation and controls. Partner cross-functionally to improve tax processes, ensure compliance, and optimize operational efficiency.
Requirements: CPA required 5+ years of public company tax experience required Multi-state tax experience required Federal, state, and local tax experience required Net Suite or ERP system experience preferred Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco/Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual’s skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs.
