Position Overview
The Senior Vice President of Strategy is responsible for leading the company’s strategic planning initiatives and driving long-term growth. This role works closely with the CEO and executive leadership team to identify new market opportunities, evaluate strategic investments, and guide the organization’s long-term direction.
The SVP of Strategy plays a critical role in shaping corporate strategy, improving business performance, and ensuring alignment across key business units.
Key Responsibilities
Corporate Strategy Development
Lead the development of the company’s long-term strategic vision and business plans
Identify emerging market opportunities, industry trends, and competitive dynamics
Support the executive team in defining strategic priorities and growth initiatives
Strategic Planning & Execution
Translate corporate strategy into actionable plans and measurable objectives
Monitor progress of strategic initiatives and ensure alignment across departments
Provide recommendations to improve operational and financial performance
Market & Competitive Analysis
Conduct in-depth market research and competitive intelligence
Evaluate potential partnerships, investments, and market expansion opportunities
Assess strategic risks and develop mitigation strategies
Mergers, Acquisitions & Partnerships
Support M&A evaluation, due diligence, and integration strategies
Identify strategic alliances and partnerships that support company growth
Executive & Board Advisory
Advise the CEO and executive leadership team on critical strategic decisions
Prepare strategic presentations and reports for the Board of Directors
Facilitate executive planning sessions and corporate strategy reviews
Qualifications
Education
Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred
Background in business, economics, finance, or strategy
Experience
20+ years of experience in corporate strategy, management consulting, or executive leadership roles
Experience in financial services, fintech, technology, or investment sectors preferred
Proven track record of leading complex strategic initiatives
