The Kane Company is seeking a high-performing Senior Analyst to support portfolio management, capital allocation analysis, and investment strategy across an active New England real estate platform, while selectively contributing to acquisitions and development underwriting.

This is a hands-on investment role with meaningful exposure to portfolio performance, asset-level decision-making, and capital deployment. The individual will work directly with senior leadership on business plan execution, hold/sell analysis, financing decisions, and select new investment opportunities.

We are looking for someone who already operates at a high level in commercial real estate and wants increased responsibility within a growing, entrepreneurial platform.

POSITION TITLE: Senior Analyst, Investments

WORK LOCATION: Portsmouth, NH. Candidates based in Greater Boston or Northern Massachusetts are encouraged to apply and will collaborate regularly with the team in Portsmouth.

WORK SCHEDULE: Full-time role with generally consistent weekly hours; flexibility during live transactions and deadlines.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

·        Support portfolio-level reporting, performance tracking, and scenario analysis across the existing asset base.

·        Analyze rent rolls, operating statements, capital budgets, and financing structures to inform asset-level and portfolio-level decision-making.

·        Perform detailed lease analysis, including cash flow impacts, TI/LC assumptions, net effective rent, and yield-on-equity calculations.

·        Build and maintain detailed financial models for existing portfolio assets, acquisitions, and development projects.

·        Underwrite new investment opportunities, including cash flow modeling, valuation, sensitivity analysis, and return metrics.

·        Prepare investment memos and presentation materials for internal review and approvals.

·        Assist with due diligence, including review of leases, operating history, capital plans, and financing terms.

·        Partner with senior team members on transaction execution, refinancing, and asset strategy decisions.

·        Improve internal analytical workflows and tools, including the use of AI.

QUALIFICATIONS:

·        2-4+ years of experience at a real estate investment firm, commercial brokerage, private equity firm, or similar transaction-oriented role.

·        Direct experience with commercial real estate underwriting and financial modeling required.

·        Advanced proficiency in Excel required; ARGUS experience preferred.

·        High degree of ownership and accountability over work product, deadlines, and outcomes; able to operate independently with minimal supervision.

·        Proactive and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously with high precision and attention to detail.

·        Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with all levels of management and staff.

·        Strategic thinker with a strong grasp of cause-and-effect in financial and investment decisions.
