The Marketing Operations Manager will be responsible for global launch initiatives from inception of project to shipment of product, ensuring goals of cost effectiveness, timeliness, and inventory management are met. Manage the development of all materials necessary to support new product introductions including samples, display and collateral. Through close partnerships with the Packaging, Product Development, Marketing, Planning and Regulatory teams, you will ensure new products are successfully launched on time.

This is a hybrid position. The Marketing Operations Manager will work remotely and should be available to commute to the Princeton, NJ office on occasion.

Responsibilities:

  • Create new product timelines to support the Marketing calendar, achieving cross-functional acceptance from the appropriate business units including: Marketing, Packaging, Product Development, Creative, Finance and Manufacturing.
  • Ensure all timeline milestones are met in order to achieve the target ship date; drive the process end-to-end, negotiate with appropriate departments and resolve all timeline issues.
  • Develop tactical plans when missed due dates occur to bring project back on track and notify senior management of critical issues and appropriate next steps.
  • Participate and lead regularly scheduled meetings to review projects with core team members to ensure all key milestones are met.
  • Track all packaging artwork and ensure packaging guidelines are adhered to.
  • Track existing business package updates as a result of regulatory, formula or package revisions.
  • Line edit; track discontinuation, excess componentry and liabilities.
  • Review excess and obsolescence on a monthly basis.
  • Coordinate on all issues regarding early needs i.e. PR, registration samples, etc.
  • Contribute fully to a climate for success in project teams: foster enthusiasm and teamwork, build relationships, reward and celebrate achievements
  • Resolve project related conflicts through skilled negotiation, tact and diplomacy

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of project management experience in a Supply Chain, Manufacturing or Marketing field
  • Understanding of key business processes and functions within a Beauty or CPG company
  • College/University degree required
  • Demonstrates leadership skills including prioritization, delegation, and conflict management of Project Team-related activities
  • Excellent follow up and organizational skills required
  • Must possess the ability to multi-task, establish priorities and yet be flexible in an ever-changing environment
  • Must be highly proficient in Excel and Word; experience with Microsoft Project
