What You Will Own
- End-to-end procurement and supplier strategy across direct materials and outsourced services
- Building and developing the supplier base, including vendor qualification, competitive sourcing, and commercial negotiation
- Sourcing input on product development and engineering decisions
- Integrating supply chain into the company's broader operating systems and tools
- Supplier accountability on cost, quality, and delivery, and category strategy development
- Identifying and mitigating supplier risk and exposure
- Driving cost reduction through structured sourcing and analytics
- Defining and reporting the KPIs that matter to leadership
- Partnering with finance and legal on contracts and commercial terms
- Building the playbooks, structure, and eventual team for the function
Who You Are
- 8+ years of procurement, strategic sourcing, or supply chain leadership in a manufacturing environment
- Hands-on technical procurement background, comfortable sourcing complex parts and assemblies
- Strong negotiator with a track record across both small vendor relationships and large-scale supplier partnerships
- Experience operating within modern ERP/MRP systems and using data to drive decisions
- Self-directed and comfortable building structure where none exists
Nice to Have
- Background in aerospace, defense, automotive, robotics, or comparable advanced manufacturing
- Exposure to regulated or compliance-driven supply chain environments
- Should-cost and TCO modeling depth
- Data fluency (Excel required; SQL or BI tools a plus)
Location and Logistics
- Based in the Greater LA area
- Fully onsite five days a week
- Cross-functional collaboration is core to operations; the role is not structured for remote work
Compensation
- Base salary up to $205,000 depending on experience
- Significant equity package weighted toward long-term upside as the company scales
