An opportunity has arisen for a Senior Financial Analyst to join a growing financial services organisation based in the Sydney CBD.
This role offers a broad and commercially focused FP&A position, going beyond traditional reporting to include financial modelling, business performance analysis and involvement in finance transformation initiatives. You will work closely with stakeholders across the business to support commercial decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the budgeting and forecasting process, including financial modelling and scenario analysis
- Build and maintain robust Excel models to support financial planning and business insights
- Deliver performance analysis and reporting to senior stakeholders
- Partner with key stakeholders across the business to provide commercial insights and recommendations
- Support finance transformation initiatives, including exposure to ERP or finance systems implementations
- Assist with improving reporting processes, data quality and automation where possible
About You
- 5+ years’ experience in a Financial Analyst or FP&A role
- Background within financial services or another fast-paced commercial environment
- Candidates from Big 4 or consulting backgrounds, particularly Finance Strategy or Business Transformation teams, are also encouraged to apply
- CA / CPA qualified (or close to completion) preferred
- Strong Excel modelling skills are essential
- Exposure to ERP systems or system implementations would be advantageous
- Experience with Power BI, SAP, Adaptive Planning or NetSuite would be beneficial
- Strong analytical, communication and stakeholder engagement skills
