Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Financial Accountant to manage the company’s day-to-day financial operations, reporting, and compliance activities, while supporting management with in-depth financial analysis and forward-looking insights. Prior experience in the real estate development sector is essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain detailed cash flow forecasts, monitoring liquidity and ensuring the company meets its financial obligations.
  • Perform regular financial analysis, including variance analysis against budgets and forecasts.
  • Oversee and actively manage daily accounting operations, including bookkeeping and transaction processing.
  • Manage accounts receivable and payable, including follow-ups on outstanding balances.
  • Prepare and review monthly management accounts, including Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, and cash flow reports.
  • Perform and review bank, customer and supplier reconciliations.
  • Managed escrow accounting activities and ensured compliance with local regulations.
  • Prepare and submit VAT returns and ensure compliance with local tax regulations.
  • Assist in the preparation of annual financial statements and coordinate external audits.
  • Develop and manage budgets, forecasts and financial planning activities. Provide actionable insights and recommendations to support strategic and operational decision-making.
  • Ensure proper documentation and organization of financial records.
  • Liaise with external auditors, banks and other service providers.
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce costs and optimize financial performance.
  • Support management with ad hoc financial modeling, scenario analysis and reporting.
  • Perform additional duties as required in a dynamic, hands-on environment.

Requirement & Key Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Professional qualification such as CPA, ACCA, or equivalent will be considered an advantage
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including financial modeling and analysis
  • Strong experience with accounting systems (experience with SAP Business One is an advantage)
