Our goal is to create strategic partnerships with credit unions. We want to create long-term strategies and a roadmap for health and viability by offering a flexible and strategic solution to obtaining CFO-level expertise.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for financial strategy, financial planning and analysis, and financial reports. They will collaborate with the CEO and the executive team to make decisions regarding the credit union’s financial strategy and operations. The candidate will possess a strong background in finance, accounting, and management.
Contract assignments can include interim CFO work, serving as a permanent CFO, and/or providing ongoing support and training to CFOs at credit unions. Monthly hours will vary based on client needs.
The work can vary widely and changes over time based on the evolving needs of clients. Applicants must be able to:
· Coordinate the preparation and review of financial statements to present to the CEO and to the Board of Directors.
· Work with different models to prepare the allowance for loan loss calculation
· Prepare and/or review of call reports and other regulatory filings.
· Coordinate and prepare annual budgets and ongoing, rolling projections.
· Use different models to analyze asset-liability management trends and projections in support of ALCO strategy and meetings.
· Analyze each area of financial performance and overall operations to identify potential risks and opportunities.
· Analyze policies and procedures to suggest changes to support organizational goals and objectives.
· Evaluate short- and long-term investment decisions to support the Credit Union’s deposit and loan growth strategy.
· Analyze and support liquidity strategies.
· Advise and provide consultative support to management to support strategic planning initiatives through financial and management information analysis, reports, and suggestions.
· Resolve regulatory and audit findings.
Qualifications
- CFO at a Credit Union
- 7 – 10 years of finance experience
- CPA or MBA preferred, but not required
- Advanced Excel skills
