Job Summary:
The Senior Finance Manager will oversee the financial operations of the organization, ensuring the accuracy of financial reporting, compliance with regulatory standards, and the effective managing the budgets and financial planning. The role involves leading the finance team, providing insights to support strategic decisions, and implementing best practices for financial efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Financial Management and Reporting:
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, tax laws, and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee the preparation of management reports and provide recommendations to senior management.
2. Budgeting and Forecasting:
- Develop, manage, and monitor annual budgets and forecasts.
- Identify variances and recommend corrective actions to align with financial goals.
- Support strategic planning with financial modeling and scenario analysis.
3. Cash Flow and Risk Management:
- Manage cash flow to ensure the organization meets its financial obligations and maximizes returns.
- Monitor and mitigate financial risks through effective policies and controls.
4. Team Leadership and Development:
- Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team to achieve operational excellence.
- Promote a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and professional growth.
5. Compliance and Internal Controls:
- Establish and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard the organization's assets.
- Ensure compliance of Group established policies and have it update regularly to meet the market changes.
- Liaise with auditors, tax authorities, and regulatory bodies.
- Ensure timely submission of tax filings and statutory reports.
6. Systems and Process Improvement:
- Streamline financial processes and drive automation for efficiency.
- Oversee the implementation and optimization of financial software and systems.
7. Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Act as a key liaison between the finance department and other business units.
- Provide financial insights to support strategic decisions and organizational goals.
- Communicate financial performance and updates to stakeholders, including senior management and the board.
Qualifications and Skills:
Essential:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (ACCA, CIMA, ACA or CPA qualification preferred).
- Proven experience (5+ years) in financial management or a similar role.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial regulations, and risk management.
- Proficiency in financial software and advanced knowledge of MS Excel.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong leadership and communication abilities.
Desirable:
- Experience in Manufacturing environment (preferably automotive industry) and familiarity with Inforus LN.
