Job Overview – Senior Director Of FP&A – 34182

We’re representing a global industrial platform with a high-growth, innovation-driven division They’re looking for a Senior Director of FP&A who can go beyond reporting and truly influence how the business thinks, plans, and performs.

This isn’t a “keep the trains running” FP&A role. This is about shaping strategy, elevating financial intelligence across the organization, and helping leaders make better decisions faster.

You’ll serve as the financial leader for the division, partnering closely with senior leadership to translate data into direction.

Strategic Partnership

  • Act as a trusted advisor to division leadership – connecting financial insights to real operational decisions
  • Help shape long-term strategy by identifying risks, opportunities, and performance drivers
  • Bring clarity to complex business dynamics and guide leadership through key decisions

FP&A Leadership & Transformation

  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing FP&A team (5–6 direct/indirect reports)
  • Elevate the function from reporting-focused to insight-driven
  • Identify inefficiencies, streamline processes, and implement smarter ways of working
  • Champion a culture of continuous improvement and accountability

Planning, Forecasting & Capital Strategy

  • Own the budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning processes across the division
  • Improve forecast accuracy and alignment across multiple business units
  • Lead long-term financial modeling, including cash flow projections and scenario planning
  • Partner on capital allocation decisions, evaluating ROI and strategic investment priorities

Performance Insights & Reporting

  • Standardize and enhance reporting to deliver clear, actionable insights
  • Analyze monthly performance, identify variances, and communicate what’s driving results
  • Support executive-level reporting and business reviews with meaningful narratives—not just numbers
  • Collaborate with controllership to ensure alignment between financial reporting and business performance

Systems & Data Enablement

  • Leverage tools like OneStream and Power BI to improve visibility and decision-making
  • Support broader data and analytics initiatives, ensuring the business has access to reliable, actionable information
  • Drive automation and reporting enhancements that reduce manual effort and increase speed to insight

Requirements

We’re looking for someone who can operate at both 30,000 feet and ground level, a strategic thinker who isn’t afraid to roll up their sleeves.

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in FP&A, finance, or related leadership roles
  • Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive business outcomes
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to connect financial results to operational drivers
  • Experience leading teams and developing talent
  • Comfort working in a dynamic, multi-entity or matrixed environment
  • Exposure to manufacturing or semiconductor environments is a plus
  • Familiarity with tools like OneStream, Power BI, and advanced Excel modeling
  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA, CPA, or CMA strongly preferred
