Mer Group is seeking a senior-level executive to serve as Regional VP Sales for the Latin America (LATAM) region. This role is central to our growth strategy in the region, overseeing existing business operations, driving new revenue in our core verticals–Telecom Infrastructure, Homeland Security, Defence Tactical Solutions and spearheading our business in the Data Center market.
The RVP will be responsible for regional sales performance, P&L ownership, customer engagement, and strategic business development, with a special focus on identifying and closing large and strategic deals . This executive must bring deep market familiarity, strong leadership, and extensive personal networks within both public and private sectors across the region.
Key Responsibilities-
Strategic Leadership
· Lead the LATAM region’s commercial strategy, aligning with Mer Group’s global business objectives.
· Collaborate closely with the CRO and the local business units to implement sales playbooks, channel strategies, and territory growth plans.
· Develop strategies to develop our strategic growth engines from greenfield planning through to operations.
Sales & Revenue Growth
· Own all regional booking targets, pipeline health, deal velocity, and gross margin performance.
· Identify and pursue high-value opportunities in telecom infrastructure, Homeland Security solutions (surveillance, command & control, emergency communications) and Defence Tactical Solutions.
· Develop commercial models and government relations strategies to win multi-year government contracts.
Customer and Partner Development
· Maintain and grow relationships with existing strategic clients (telcos, utilities, ministries of security/defence).
· Use existing networks to introduce new opportunities and open doors with key regional players.
· Establish partnerships with infrastructure developers, hyperscale operators, and local integrators for data center development and mission-critical systems integration.
Required Experience and Qualifications
- 15+ years in sales leadership roles across LATAM, including 5+ at the VP or regional GM level.
- Proven track record selling large-scale technology/infrastructure projects to both government and private-sector clients.
- Background in at least two of the following:
- Telecom Infrastructure (fiber, towers, radio networks, 5G)
- Homeland Security (command & control, perimeter systems, national programs)
- Data Center Projects (greenfield setup, CAPEX/OPEX control, ecosystem buildout)
- Strong grasp of government tendering, PPP models, and capital-intensive project cycles.
- Fluent in Spanish and English.
- Extensive senior-level network across telcos, public safety agencies, and infrastructure groups.
