Our client, a global hedge fund, are actively seeking a Reference Data Analyst to join their team in Singapore.
The successful candidate will join the Reference Data Product Management team, and is responsible for the day-to-day operations of enterprise reference data systems and the associated business processes. The role combines ownership of tactical BAU activities with involvement in longer-term, more strategic projects that improve products and processes.
The role:
- Own end-to-end reference data operations with a primary focus on instrument master data, and also support other reference data types such as third-party data and EOD pricing.
- Follow and maintain a daily operational playbook, ensuring key controls and procedures are consistently executed.
- Capture and maintain reference data issue metadata within an Incident Management process.
- Partner with front- and back-office stakeholders to triage, resolve, and prevent production issues.
- Produce regular operational reporting for the team and management reviews.
- Coordinate with technologists, project managers, and business analysts to support reference data system upgrades.
What you offer:
- Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) with around 3–10 years of experience in financial services, ideally in operational/production roles supporting trading, investing, or related data activities.
- Experience with reference data and/or security master operations
- Working knowledge of financial products and instruments, with a focus on equities, futures, and options
- Strong data analysis skills, including SQL, Excel and Python
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with multiple stakeholders.
- Strong attention to detail, with an interest in process design, automation, and continuous improvement.
- Strong analytical skills.
