We're partnering with a newly established Nordic private equity firm on the appointment of an Associate, based in Copenhagen
.
The firm backs industrials businesses across the Nordics, spanning industrials the ecosystem (services, technology, manufacturing and chemicals), and takes a genuinely hands-on, value-driven approach to ownership. Rather than relying on the market or multiple expansion to do the work, the team creates value operationally: pulling internal levers to drive growth, professionalising businesses, and building on strong foundations that aren't yet reaching their potentia
l.
Equity cheques sit at around €75m per deal, flexing roughly €30m either way, supporting a concentrated portfolio of platform investments where senior members of the team carry real ownership across the full deal lifecyc
le.
The strategy centres on three types of opportun
- ity:Corporate carve-outs – unlocking value in underperforming or under-utilised parts of larger gro
- ups.Founder and family succession – providing first institutional capital and well-structured exit routes for founder-led businesses, often where the next generation isn't looking to take the reins, and helping companies close the gap between how they're performing and how they should
- be.Digital transformation – bringing established, traditional businesses into the modern mar
ket.
As an Associate, you'll play a key role across the investment process, working closely with senior investment professionals to evaluate, execute and manage investm
- ents:Support the execution of transactions from origination and evaluation through due diligence, financial modelling, structuring and comple
- tion.Build relationships with founders, management teams, advisers and intermediaries, supporting deal sourcing and the development of proprietary investment opportunities across the Nor
- dics.Assist with portfolio management and value creation initiatives, working alongside management teams to support strategic and operational priori
- ties.Prepare investment committee materials, financial analyses and presentations to support investment recommendations and portfolio decis
- ions.Collaborate closely with senior team members on live transactions while contributing to the continued growth of the Copenhagen of
fice.
What we're lookin
- g for:3–5 years of relevant experience within private equity, investment banking, transaction services or a comparable investment enviro
- nment.Strong transaction experience, with exposure to evaluating and executing M&A or private equity investments, ideally with experience across industrials or broader business services se
- ctors.Excellent financial modelling, valuation and analytical skills, with the ability to assess investment opportunities and support complex transac
- tions.A commercial mindset with a genuine interest in working closely with portfolio companies to drive long-term value cre
- ation.Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the confidence to build relationships with management teams, advisers and other stakeho
- lders.Fluency in Danish and En
- glish.Based in, or willing to relocate to, Copen
hagen.
