Global Investment Attraction (GIA) engages with the TIQ overseas and regional offices, overseas investors and local investees to facilitate major productive inward investment projects. Through this work the unit helps to create new employment, enable technology transfer and drive new productive foreign investment into Queensland. GIA works with stakeholders including private sector companies, professional services firms, financial institutions and across various government agencies at a local, state, federal and international level to attract new overseas investment opportunities and projects to Queensland.
To Be Successful In This Role You Will
- Develop commercial investment outcomes in collaboration with the Director.
- Manage and maintain a client portfolio to ensure KPI targets are met, and future pipelines are developed.
- Work collaboratively with TIQ's overseas and Queensland operations teams to develop and implement investment opportunities.
- Implement innovative projects for the priority sectors aligned to the Queensland Trade and Investment Strategy and the wider TIQ/Queensland Government objectives.
- Provide and update investment project information using TIQ's client relationship management system and regular reporting of business outcomes to senior management.
- Support the Director to achieve outcomes and contribute to TIQ's planning, budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Establish and maintain effective business relationships with a wide variety of stakeholders including across cultures and with both private and public sector organisations.
- Represent TIQ on inter-departmental and industry committees and participate in government and business forums.
- Foster a positive team culture across TIQ to continually develop and commit to actions and behaviours that reflect our values.
