Our financial services client is seeking a Operations Analyst (3+ years of Trade Finance experience) to manage trade finance transaction lifecycles and ensure regulatory compliance

This role manages complex documentation and payment instruments, ensuring adherence to ICC guidelines and AML/ATF regulatory frameworks. Contract, Montreal, Hybrid,3 days onsite. First 3 months % onsite for training.

Must Haves

  • 3+ years in Trade Finance operations within a financial institution
  • Advanced understanding of documentary credits
    , collections
    , and payments aligned with ICC rules (UCP , ISBP , URC , ISP 98, URDG )
  • Professional level knowledge of AML and ATF requirements specific to Trade Finance
  • Bachelor’s Degree in finance, international business, or related discipline
  • Bilingual French

    • Nice to Have

  • CDCS or CSDG certification
  • Experience with Microsoft Office or other programming tools

    • Responsibilities

  • Handle end-to-end transaction lifecycle for documentary letters of credit, collections, and payments
  • Provide subject matter guidance on trade finance instruments and ICC regulatory requirements
  • Act as the primary contact for trade finance transactions and client inquiries
  • Maintain and uphold risk management processes including AML and ATF controls
  • Execute daily decisions tied to trade finance compliance and financial liability
  • Lead small-scale projects within the trade finance function and ensure timely deliverables
  • Identify and propose process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and reporting
