In the Fixed Income Division (FID), we work in fast-paced and constantly changing global markets to assess and manage risk, trade securities, manage relationships with clients, and structure and execute innovative transactions.

We are looking for a Nodal Power Market Analyst to join our Commodities team within FID, playing a crucial role in trading, sales, and risk management of commodities and related financial products.

You Will

  • Calibrate and validate Power market simulation models using historical dispatch, congestion, outage, LMP, and transmission data.
  • Explain Nodal market congestion through Power Flow Model (DC OPF)
  • Track market structure changes and Transmission planning changes for a particular ISO (PJM or MISO or ERCOT)
  • Develop reports and tools to track Power flow Model fidelity and transparency
  • Work with Traders to manage Portfolio risk & Work with Clients to structure tailored risk POV
  • Leverage AI to automate Workflow

You Have

  • Bachelor or Masters preferred in Power Systems with OPF related courses
  • 3+ yrs Experience in running Power flow Models like DAYZER or PLEXOS or similar ISO Market simulation OPF software
  • Experience understanding the dispatch and congestion patterns in market and correlate with Model behavior
  • Market familiarity for PJM or MISO or ERCOT desired
  • Strong Excel proficiency and also visualization tools like Tableau or PowerBI
  • Coding via Python preferred
