We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Managing Director to lead and manage the overall operations and strategic direction of the company. The MD will be responsible for overseeing the implementation of business objectives, driving financial performance, and ensuring effective operational management across departments. This leadership role requires a high-level executive who can balance both the strategic and operational demands of the organization.
As a key decision-maker, the MD will work closely with the senior leadership team and report directly to the Board of Directors, guiding the company toward achieving its vision and goals while fostering a high-performance culture.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership: Define and implement the company’s strategic goals and objectives in alignment with the vision set by the Board of Directors. Lead the creation of long-term business strategies that drive growth, innovation, and market expansion.
Operational Management: Oversee day-to-day operations across all business functions, including sales, marketing, finance, human resources, and customer service, ensuring efficiency and alignment with company goals.
Financial Management: Manage and monitor the company’s financial performance, ensuring profitability, cost management, and effective resource allocation. Develop budgets, financial forecasts, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure the business stays on track.
Leadership & Team Development: Lead and mentor senior management and department heads, ensuring effective performance management, professional development, and talent retention across the organization.
Business Development: Identify new business opportunities, partnerships, and market segments to expand the company’s market share and revenue streams. Foster relationships with key stakeholders, clients, and industry leaders.
Risk Management & Compliance: Monitor and mitigate risks related to financial, operational, and legal matters. Ensure the company adheres to industry regulations and complies with corporate governance standards.
Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary liaison between the Board of Directors, senior management, and other stakeholders. Prepare and present regular updates on company performance, strategic initiatives, and key challenges.
Cultural Stewardship: Shape and maintain the organizational culture, ensuring that the company’s values, mission, and vision are clearly communicated and embraced across all levels of the organization.
Market & Industry Insight: Stay informed of market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to guide the company’s strategic direction and innovation efforts.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field. An MBA or other relevant advanced degree is highly desirable.
Experience:
Minimum of 8 years of senior leadership experience in engineering industry.
Proven track record of driving business growth, managing operations, and leading diverse teams.
Extensive experience in managing P&L, budgeting, and financial planning.
Skills:
Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
Excellent strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
High-level communication skills, including the ability to effectively present to the Board and senior stakeholders.
Strong financial acumen and experience with managing complex business operations.
Proficiency in business analytics and performance management tools.
