Product Specialist
The Product Specialist plays a pivotal role in the strategic design and execution of international investment platform solutions and pricing structures. Operating with a high degree of autonomy, the incumbent drives initiatives to meet the evolving needs of investors across South African and targeted international markets. This role is central to ensuring that all offerings remain competitive and compliant to support business growth.
Crucial Requirement: LISP & Offshore Expertise
A fundamental requirement for this role is a minimum of 5 years of experience specifically within the international LISP (Linked Investment Service Provider) or investment platform industry.
Candidates must possess:
– Deep LISP Knowledge:
Comprehensive understanding of the South African LISP landscape, including its regulatory frameworks, tax implications, and competitive dynamics.
– Offshore Market Proficiency:
Proven exposure to the offshore LISP market, which is strongly preferred to support the international focus of the platform.
– Technical Strategy:
Demonstrated experience in LISP-specific product development, pricing, and platform capability design.
Key Responsibilities
– Product Lifecycle Management:
Manages the end-to-end lifecycle of investment products, from initial concept and research to market launch and optimization.
– Strategic Roadmap Execution:
Translates high-level business initiatives into practical product roadmaps and assists in cross-functional implementation.
– Stakeholder Engagement:
Acts as a trusted partner to financial advisers and internal teams, providing specialist insights to resolve complex product-related queries.
– Governance & Content:
Prepares high-quality analysis for executive decision-making and refines technical content for marketing and formal documentation.
Required Qualifications

B.Com or related degree is required.
– Technical Designation: A CFA designation or an actuarial background is essential to meet the technical and analytical demands of this specialist role.
– Regulatory Fluency: A strong understanding of both local and international regulatory frameworks affecting wealth and investment products.
