Position: Junior Securities Assistant / Messenger

About the position
Haywood’s Operations Department is currently looking to recruit a Junior Securities Assistant / Messenger. To be successful in this role, the candidate must be able to demonstrate a commitment to providing exceptional customer/client service, attention to detail and a willingness to take on new responsibilities and challenges as they arise.
Responsibilities include
Counter services at Securities Cage
Receipt and delivery of securities in both physical certificate and electronic form for client accounts
Incoming and outgoing transit of securities
Controlling safety deposit boxes, must be able to lift up to 40 pounds
May be required to walk for moderate distances
Pick-ups and deliveries dealing with Financial Institutions, Transfer Agents, Law Firms, Issuers
Obtaining documentation to negotiate securities
Filing, Scanning and retrieving securities
Support banking services / research
Education & Qualifications
Proficiency with all Microsoft Office applications
Experience in an office environment is a definite asset

Status: Permanent full-time
Compensation: expected salary range: $48,000 to $55,000
