At SYNLAB Italy, we are shaping the future of medical diagnostics, and we are looking for the finance leaders of tomorrow. We are excited to launch the Finance Leadership Program (FLP), a path designed for high-potential recent graduates seeking accelerated growth and a 360° view of the Finance world. This program is designed for ambitious graduates who can demonstrate a strong interest in building a career inside a corporate finance department.
The program begins with a 6-month internship, aimed at permanent hire, within one of the four key areas of the Finance and M&A Department: Accounting, Controlling, Treasury, or M&A.
This is not just an opportunity to learn and contribute to SYNLAB's success from day one, but a real gateway to a programme which, after the first six months, will allow you to rotate throughout and gain experience in various areas of the Finance and M&A department, within an international environment.
Your First Challenge: Controlling Internship
You will join the SYNLAB Italy Controlling team, supporting core finance processes and gaining hands-on exposure to performance monitoring and business analysis. You will work closely with Finance, Operations, and Business teams, contributing to reporting, planning and cost analysis activities. This internship offers a structured learning path across key controlling domains, combining analytical work with direct exposure to business dynamics.
Your learning opportunities
- Sales & P&L Reporting: Contribute to the preparation and evolution of sales and P&L reporting, improving visibility on business performance.
- Planning & Forecasting: Support planning and forecasting activities using dedicated systems (e.g. SAP Analytics Cloud), gaining exposure to structured financial processes.
- Dashboard Management: Maintain and enhance financial dashboards, ensuring data consistency and usability for decision-making.
- Production Data Management: Support the maintenance of bills of materials and production-related data structures.
- Cost Analysis: Contribute to the analysis of production costs, identifying key drivers and supporting performance improvement initiatives.
Requisiti:
Requirements
- Education: Master’s Degree (completed or near completion) in Economics, Finance, Management Engineering, or related fields, with an academic track focused on advanced accounting, financial statement analysis, and corporate finance.
- Hard Skills: Excellent knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with financial statement analysis, KPIs, and valuation methods (DCF, multiples, comparables). Knowledge of advanced analytics is a significant plus.
- Analytical Mindset: Strong quantitative analysis skills and a structured approach to synthesis.
- Agility & Proactivity: High flexibility and a proactive mindset. Ability to quickly master new concepts across diverse functional areas, adapt to different team dynamics, and manage shifting priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Languages: Fluency in English is a fundamental prerequisite for working in our international environment and for future growth.
- Travel Availability: Willingness to travel within Italy (up to 30%), depending on project needs and activities at target companies.
