We have an opportunity for an Investment Dealer to join our Isle of Man team on a permanent basis.

Job Purpose
The Investment Dealer plays a pivotal role within our Investment Dealing team, ensuring the accurate and timely execution of client’s trade instructions. This role is essential for maintaining the efficiency and integrity of our execution only operations.
Responsibilities & Duties
- To receive and interpret investment instructions accurately
- To execute investment instructions for securities traded on all major markets, including international equities, bonds, mutual funds and structured products within stipulated deadlines
- To ensure that procedures are followed in line with policies and practices of the business
- Responding to a diverse range of ad hoc queries
- To undertake project work and/or ad hoc tasks as directed by the Investment Dealing Manager or Head of Investment Propositions.
- Propose changes to improve existing processes and systems
- Authorising of trade instructions, FX transactions and journals as required.
- Provide cover for other areas within the department, where training has been received
- To safeguard client assets by ensuring client asset rules are followed for all appropriate jurisdictions
Skills and Experience
- Experience in an investment operations role or dealing role
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines with a high degree of accuracy
- Calm, common-sense approach to problem solving and decision making
- Extensive knowledge, both technical and operational, of the procedures and processes within the industry
- Demonstrate an organised approach to the job, working closely with other team members to provide efficient feedback as required by both clients and the team
- Demonstrate initiative, adaptability and flexibility in order to cope with the ever-changing demands of the role
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels
- Ability to develop strong relationships and build trust within the company and with third parties
- Demonstrate an understanding of business and regulatory risk
- Excellent organisation and time management skills
- Able to respond quickly and effectively to client demands, often having to deliver to tight deadlines
- Show the ability to work on one’s own initiative, reacting quickly and appropriately to situations without prompting, prioritising workflows to meet demands accordingly
- Commercial awareness of the business and external markets
- Results oriented individual who displays a desire to identify and suggest beneficial change processes
Qualifications
- Holds or working to a suitable investment administration qualification at level 3 or above, such as the CISI Investment Operations Certificate (IOC) or an equivalent investment related qualification – Desirable.
