Investment Banking Analyst Jobs in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia at Enemix
Title: Investment Banking Analyst
Company: Enemix
Location: Sydney, New South Wales, Australia
Investment Banking Analyst | M&A Advisory | Sydney
A boutique independent M&A advisory firm in Sydney is looking for a highly motivated Analyst to join its deal team. This is a generalist M&A house advising on sell-side and buy-side transactions, capital raisings and restructurings for private business owners, public companies, private equity firms and family offices, with a strategic alliance giving genuine reach into global mid-market deal flow. Senior bankers stay closely involved at every stage of a deal, so you'll get direct client and leadership exposure from day one rather than years into your tenure.
This is a strong next step for someone coming from a Big 4 Valuations, M&A or Transaction Services background who wants to move onto the advisory side and own live deal execution rather than sit in a supporting or diligence capacity.
What you'll be doing:
- Supporting execution of live M&A transactions through detailed financial analysis, including valuation and M&A scenarios
- Building and maintaining financial models, including DCF, LBO, comparable companies and precedent transaction analysis
- Assisting due diligence processes, including analysing company information and identifying key risks
- Preparing high-quality client materials, including pitch books, teasers, confidential information memoranda and management presentations
- Conducting industry, market and company research to support new business development
- Managing workflows across multiple live projects and prioritising tasks effectively
- Participating in client calls and meetings, taking notes and preparing materials in advance
- Reviewing your own work for accuracy, logical consistency and completeness before submission
What we're looking for:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, accounting or a related field
- 0 to 3 years of relevant experience in a Big 4 Valuations, M&A Advisory or Transaction Services team, or equivalent investment banking experience
- Strong grounding in core valuation methodologies (DCF, comparable companies, precedent transactions) and financial modelling
- A genuine interest in moving from a diligence, valuation or advisory-support capacity into full deal execution
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
Why join:
- Direct senior banker and client exposure from early in your tenure, not years down the line
- The chance to move from supporting deals to owning execution on live M&A processes
- Broad deal exposure across a wide range of industries and transaction types
- Global reach through an international strategic alliance, including cross-border mandates
- A genuinely merit-based path for progression
