Madison Hunt is partnered with a growing energy transition investment platform to hire an Associate for its investment team in Copenhagen. The firm invests across a broad range of renewable and sustainable infrastructure themes, with a focus on Europe and North America.
The strategy is focused on value-add investments across the energy transition landscape, including onshore/offshore wind, solar, battery storage, sustainable fuels, thermal energy solutions and electric mobility. The platform operates across a range of maturity stages, including development-heavy opportunities, and typically invests in scalable businesses and projects where it can take an active role in value creation.
With an active investment pipeline and capital being deployed across multiple markets, the team is looking to add an Associate to support the execution of new investments and portfolio growth initiatives. The role offers the opportunity to work in a lean team environment with significant responsibility and exposure across the full deal lifecycle.
Interested candidates will:
- Be currently sitting in an investing role within an energy transition, infrastructure or private equity platform; strong infrastructure / renewables investment banking candidates will also be considered
- Have exposure to the renewable energy and broader energy transition market across Europe
- Possess strong transaction execution and financial modelling capabilities
- Have experience working across M&A, project finance, structured investments and/or growth equity transactions
- Hold a degree in business, finance, economics, mathematics or a related discipline from a highly regarded university
- Demonstrate strong communication skills and the ability to operate effectively in a lean, entrepreneurial team environment
- Be motivated by the opportunity to join a growing investment platform with an active deployment strategy and high level of responsibility early on in the role
