A private investment firm / family office focused on private markets is seeking an Investment Analyst or Associate to join its growing team in Houston. This is an opportunity to work in a lean, collaborative environment with broad exposure across investment strategies and asset classes.
The ideal candidate will have strong analytical and research capabilities, experience evaluating investments, and an interest in private markets investing.
Responsibilities
- Conduct diligence and research on private market investment opportunities
- Build and maintain investment models and financial analyses
- Prepare investment memoranda and presentation materials for internal decision-making
- Analyze industries, companies, and market trends across a variety of sectors
- Support portfolio monitoring and ongoing investment research
- Collaborate closely with senior investment professionals in a small-team environment
Qualifications
- 1–4 years of experience in private markets investing, investment research, family office investing, or related fields
- Strong financial modeling and analytical skills
- Experience preparing investment presentations and research materials
- Interest in investing and private markets required
- Generalist mindset with the ability to evaluate opportunities across sectors
- MBA or advanced degree is welcome but not required
