Role Description

The Head of Strategic Planning / Strategy Director / Senior Strategy Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing organizational strategy to drive growth, operational efficiency, and long-term business success. This role focuses on analyzing market trends, identifying opportunities, and guiding executive decision-making through strategic insights and planning.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Develop and execute corporate and business unit strategies aligned with organizational goals
  • Lead strategic planning processes, including annual planning, budgeting, and forecasting
  • Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and trend monitoring to inform strategic decisions
  • Identify growth opportunities, business risks, and new initiatives
  • Collaborate with executive leadership and cross-functional teams to implement strategic initiatives
  • Monitor performance against strategic objectives and provide recommendations for improvement
  • Prepare reports, presentations, and executive briefings for the board and senior management
  • Lead strategic projects, mergers, acquisitions, and transformation initiatives as required
  • Mentor and manage strategy teams, fostering analytical thinking and strategic problem-solving
  • Drive innovation, continuous improvement, and adoption of best practices across the organization

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance, or related field (MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred)
  • Proven experience in strategic planning, corporate strategy, or management consulting roles
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data-driven decision-making skills
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management abilities
  • Experience managing cross-functional projects and leading strategic initiatives
  • Knowledge of financial analysis, market research, and business performance metrics
  • Ability to influence senior leadership and drive organizational change
  • Familiarity with strategic frameworks, scenario planning, and competitive analysis
  • Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
