Head of Finance – SaaS – Remote
We’re leading the search for a Head of Finance for a profitable, remote-first SMB SaaS company operating a high-volume, low-ACV subscription model serving thousands of customers.
This is a direct-hire leadership role with exceptional benefits, long-term stability, and the opportunity to own financial strategy, pricing, and SaaS performance metrics.
About the Role
- The Head of Finance will be a key member of the leadership team, responsible for financial planning, forecasting, pricing, and subscription economics, while staying close to execution in a lean environment.
- You’ll work directly with Product, Marketing, Operations, and Support to drive ARR/MRR growth, pricing decisions, retention performance, and customer economics.
- No fundraising, no investor reporting; the company is privately owned, stable, and bootstrapped.
What You’ll Own:
- Financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and monthly reporting
- ARR/MRR metrics, churn analysis, cohort insights, CAC/LTV economics
- Pricing & packaging strategy in partnership with Product and Marketing
- Accounting, cash flow management, controls, and GAAP compliance in a small team
- Manage a Controller/Staff Accountant
- Building processes that improve visibility and decision-making
What We’re Looking For:
- 7+ years in SaaS finance (FP&A + accounting foundation)
- Experience in SMB subscription models with thousands of customers
- Experience in processing a high volume of monthly credit card payments
- Proven work with pricing, retention, renewals, and subscription analytics
- Strong partnership with Product, Marketing, and Operations
- Experience owning both strategy and hands-on execution for accounting and finance
Not a fit: Enterprise-only experience with low-volume, high-ACV contracts.
