Our client is a global leader services company, currently they are seeking an
experienced and dynamic Head of Finance to lead finance function in Cambodia. This
role will support the Regional Finance Director and the Cambodia Country Director in
ensuring financial excellence across compliance, internal controls, and business
performance.
As a key leader within one of the largest business units, you will drive change by
developing a first-class finance function in Cambodia.
Success in this role requires navigating complex environments, collaborating with
diverse stakeholders, and influencing peers and superiors to deliver impactful
outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with the Country Director and Head of Sales to drive end-to-end business performance in Cambodia to ensure full compliance with Cambodian statutory requirements, including: Preparation and submission of financial statements. Monthly financial close under global IFRS standards.
- Taxation matters such as standard compliance filings, annual returns, and tax audits.
- Filing other legal and financial compliance documents in accordance with Cambodian law.
- Oversee adherence to group, regional, and local procurement policies while
- guiding optimal procurement practices leading routine finance processes in collaboration with local, regional, shared services, and HQ teams:
- Cash receipting, invoicing, billing, Accounts payable (AP) and expense claims processing using digital systems (P2P).
- Payroll activities to ensure accurate contractual/statutory obligations and accounting entries, entity funding and cash position management.
- Develop and mentor staff to achieve higher levels of performance through technical training, behavioural development, and rigorous performance assessments.
- Optimize team responsibilities to maximize value-added contributions to the
- business.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processes while providing clear insights to monitor progress effectively.
- Build a culture of continuous forecast improvement by closely tracking accuracy
- and working with operational teams.
- Conduct detailed commercial analysis to identify opportunities or risks and communicate actionable insights to management teams.
- Perform in-depth sales analysis (market trends, pricing strategies, volume metrics) to support forecasts and ongoing performance improvements.
- Drive cost optimization initiatives across key areas while identifying supplier opportunities for procurement improvements.
- Develop robust business cases with financial models for investment purposes; hold operational leaders accountable for delivering on KPIs tied to these cases
Key requirements
- Bachelor’s in accountancy with 8-10 years proven experience leading finance
- functions in complex environments with multiple stakeholders.
- Strong expertise in compliance (statutory regulations, taxation), financial planning & analysis (FP&A), and internal controls under IFRS standards.
- A track record of driving organizational change and building high-performing
- teams.
- Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights that influence decision-making at all levels.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively across local and international teams.
