🎯 Who are we looking for?
We are searching for a senior finance leader with a strong controlling mindset, who combines analytical excellence with real business impact.
You are likely a Head of Controlling or Finance Manager, bringing both strategic thinking and hands‑on business partnership.
You bring:
- Strong experience in FP&A, controlling, and financial steering
- Ability to challenge leadership constructively and influence decisions
- Deep understanding of profitability drivers, cost structures, and business economics
- Solid knowledge of statutory accounting and local regulations, without being purely accounting‑focused
- Experience in a centralized / matrix organization
- Strong ownership, accountability, and decision‑making mindset
- Confidence to operate as a true partner to senior leadership
- Fluency in Slovak and/or Czech + English
- An innovative mindset, unafraid of new approaches, and able to see AI technologies as an opportunity to drive efficiency and move things forward.
🛠️ What will you be responsible for?
This is a high‑impact, business‑partnering role, where you will directly shape the financial performance of Packeta Slovakia.
Business partnering & financial steering
- Act as a key partner to the Managing Director, influencing strategic and commercial decisions
- Provide financial insights and challenge business cases before decisions are made
- Own and explain monthly P&L and margin drivers
- Drive profitability across segments (per parcel, lane, and business line)
- Lead budgeting and forecasting, taking full ownership of committed numbers
Controlling & performance management
- Ensure strong management reporting, cost control, and KPI transparency
- Drive data quality, consistency, and financial visibility
- Identify opportunities for efficiency and margin optimisation
Accounting, tax & audit oversight
- Oversee statutory close and compliance in cooperation with central teams
- Ensure audit readiness and IFRS reporting support
- Safeguard tax and transfer pricing compliance
Leadership & impact
- Strengthen the finance function as a true business partner
