The Role |
The Head of Finance will lead financial strategy and operations, with a critical focus on cashflow management, working capital optimisation, and multi-currency complexity.
This is a high-impact leadership role suited to a hands-on operator who thrives in fast-paced, scaling environments and understands the nuances of global wholesale distribution.
Cashflow & Working Capital Leadership
- Own and optimise global cashflow forecasting, ensuring strong visibility across all regions and channels.
- Drive working capital efficiency across inventory, receivables, and payables, particularly within wholesale cycles.
- Partner with commercial and supply chain teams to align cashflow with trading activity, seasonal buys, and production timelines.
- Implement robust cash management strategies to support international expansion and liquidity.
Global Finance Operations
- Oversee all financial operations including reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and compliance across multiple geographies.
- Manage multi-entity, multi-currency financial structures with a strong understanding of FX exposure and mitigation strategies (AU, US, UK, EU).
- Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end close processes across regions.
Wholesale & International Complexity
- Act as a key partner to wholesale teams, understanding trading terms, margin structures, and customer payment behaviours.
- Navigate the financial complexities of global wholesale including distributor models, varying payment terms, and regional risk.
- Provide financial insight into international expansion, pricing strategy, and channel profitability.
Strategic & Commercial Partnering
- Partner closely with the CEO and executive team to inform strategic decision-making.
- Deliver clear, actionable financial insights to support growth across retail, eCommerce, and wholesale channels.
- Evaluate new market entry, partnerships, and investment opportunities.
Risk, Compliance & Governance
- Ensure strong financial controls and governance frameworks across all regions.
- Manage audit processes, tax compliance, and regulatory requirements across multiple jurisdictions.
- Monitor and mitigate financial risks, particularly relating to currency fluctuations and international trading.
Leadership
- Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing global finance team.
- Foster a culture of accountability, commerciality, and continuous improvement.
- Act as a key cross-functional leader within a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment.
The Skillset |
- Proven experience in a senior finance leadership role within global fashion, luxury, or consumer goods.
- Deep expertise in global wholesale environments, with strong understanding of trading cycles and customer dynamics.
- Demonstrated success managing cashflow in complex, multi-entity, multi-currency businesses.
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
- Experience operating in high-growth, fast-paced environments hands-on and solutions-oriented.
- Technically strong with experience across international finance structures, FX management, and reporting.
- CA/CPA or equivalent essential.
