Position: Technical Fix Support Specialist MMH260421-2
As a Technical Fix Support Specialist at Momentum Wealth Technical Support Service, your primary role is to calculate, review, and process contract corrections with the highest quality output within the prescribed turnaround time. You will analyse and report on all corrections (IR Jira Fixes) and trends to enhance efficiencies. Key Responsibilities
- Processing Investment Corrections:
- Calculate, review, and analyse internal and external investment correction requests.
- Ensure all corrections are processed accurately, addressing issues such as commissions, fees, unit prices, exchange rates, rebalancing, and restructuring of multi‑manager funds, price corrections or discrepancies in accounts.
- Maintain a checklist to verify that each step of the correction process is completed.
- Adhere to the four‑eye principle (peer review) for quality control to minimise errors and guarantee correctness.
- Corrections are checked by risk, commissions support, and finance; the correct process has been followed on Jira, Gemstone (MW & MWI), BPM & Lighthouse.
- Service Level Compliance:
- Familiarise yourself with the prescribed SLAs for processing corrections.
- Track processing time for each request to ensure compliance with SLAs.
- Communicate proactively with relevant stakeholders if corrections risk exceeding their SLA.
- Tools and Systems Usage:
- Utilise Jira, Gemstone (MW & MWI), Lighthouse, VIA, and BPM systems accurately to record incidents, track progress, and document the resolution process.
- Ensure all entries in these systems are complete and reflect the correct status of actions taken.
- Validate data in the systems regularly to avoid errors and maintain data integrity.
- Financial Reporting Support:
- Ensure financial corrections align with company policies and reflect accurate financial reporting.
- Work closely with the adjustments, commissions support, and finance teams to rectify discrepancies related to corrections.
- Provide support during audits by ensuring all corrections are documented meticulously.
- Participate in Projects and Reporting:
- Be involved in continuous improvement projects aimed at optimising the correction process.
- Provide feedback based on your experiences to enhance operational efficiency.
- Generate regular reports on correction processing statistics, trends, and issues to share with management and stakeholders.
Requirements Relevant Knowledge
- Understanding specific products offered by Momentum Wealth (local and international) within the investment space, including features, advantages, limitations, tax and fees impact, etc.
- Sound understanding of business‑related procedures and processes within the Momentum Wealth services context, ensuring efficient service delivery and operational effectiveness.
- In‑depth knowledge of Wealth systems (local and international), their features, and the outcome of your actions.
- Knowledge of various investment products – unit trusts, ETFs, structured products, personal share portfolios, living annuities, and retirement annuities.
- In‑depth understanding of the financial services industry, current trends, challenges, and opportunities.
Relevant Experience
- Minimum of 4 years of practical and relevant experience within the Momentum Investments service area, familiarity with the four functional lines (Wealth, MWI, MCI, and Annuities) is advantageous.
- At least 10 years of practical and relevant experience within the broader Investment, Insurance, and Financial Services industry. Demonstrated excellence in administrative tasks and innovative client servicing and support, with experience in the investment industry (LISP) considered a plus.
Regulatory and Compliance
- Knowledge of relevant regulatory frameworks and compliance requirements that govern the financial services industry.
