We're a leading recruitment company in Sri Lanka looking for a General Manager – Finance for a leading Financial Services company based in Colombo.
Role Overview
This position will play a pivotal role in shaping financial strategy, driving performance, and ensuring robust governance across a defined business sector. This is a key business-partnering position, responsible for strategic financial planning, analysis, and decision support to senior leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead financial management for the sector including budgeting, forecasting, risk analysis, and month-end close.
- Provide strategic insights that influence commercial decisions and drive profitable growth.
- Ensure strong financial controls, compliance, and adherence to Group policies.
- Partner with operations, sales, and supply chain to improve financial performance and cost efficiencies.
- Oversee sector reporting, KPI tracking, variance analysis, and performance reviews.
- Support investment appraisals, pricing strategies, and capital expenditure evaluations.
- Lead and develop a high-performing finance team.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification is essential.
- Minimum 7-10 years’ post-qualification experience, preferably within Financial Services sectors.
- Proven experience in financial leadership, business partnering, and strategic planning.
- Strong technical accounting knowledge and understanding of IFRS.
- Advanced analytical and financial modelling skills.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership capabilities.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
