Vice President of Finance
Our client, a mid-sized leader in manufacturing and consumer products located in the Morristown area, is seeking an experienced Vice President of Finance. This key role oversees a mix of finance and accounting functions and manages a substantial team to drive performance across the organization.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and direct all finance and accounting operations, including financial planning & analysis, budgeting, forecasting, cost accounting, and financial reporting.
- Supervise, mentor, and develop a sizable team of finance and accounting professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performing culture.
- Partner with senior leadership and sales teams to support strategic planning, capital expenditure projects, and process optimization initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and adherence to internal controls and company policies.
- Provide insightful financial analysis to inform operational and business decisions.
- Handle outside banking and insurance relationships for the company.
- Lead month-end and year-end close processes, consolidations, and support audit readiness.
- Evaluate ERP systems and technology improvements to streamline financial workflows.
- Drive continuous improvement in all finance and accounting processes, with a strong focus on cost efficiency, inventory management, and margin analysis.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field; advanced degree or CPA preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years’ relevant experience in a manufacturing or consumer products environment; prior supervisory/leadership responsibility required.
- Proven ability to manage complex finance and accounting functions and large teams in a fast-paced, mid-sized company setting.
- Demonstrated expertise in cost accounting / inventory management preferred, strategic financial planning & analysis, and reporting.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and strategic thinking skills.
