Founding Asset Management Associate Jobs in New York, NY at Prismera

Title: Founding Asset Management Associate

Company: Prismera

Location: New York, NY

About Prismera

Prismera builds AI for commercial real estate portfolio operations. Our platform ingests unstructured portfolio documents and turns them into structured intelligence that powers how institutional owners and operators manage portfolios worth billions. We handle everything from document understanding and data extraction to agentic portfolio workflows and deal execution.

We are backed by industry-leading executives, trusted by publicly traded REITs and national operators, and scaling into the largest institutional CRE firms in the world.

The Role

This role requires 2 to 5 years working inside commercial real estate: asset management, portfolio operations, leasing, acquisitions, or legal. If you haven't worked in CRE, this is not the right fit.

You know how a portfolio actually runs. You've lived the CAM reconciliations, the estoppel chases, the buried PDFs, and the gap between where a document sits and where a decision gets made. You've learned to live with how manual and fragmented it all is, and some part of you has always known it should have been rebuilt years ago.

You'll own how Prismera gets deployed inside customer environments, translate how real portfolio work gets done into how the product works, and be the person who turns institutional habit into something faster and cleaner. You sit at the center of customer, product, and leadership.

What You'll Do

  • Own the end-to-end deployment of Prismera across customer accounts.
  • Design how Prismera fits into each customer's operating environment.
  • Work directly with users across asset management, leasing, acquisitions, legal, and operations.
  • Drive adoption across teams and stakeholders.
  • Identify and develop expansion opportunities.
  • Act as the connective tissue between customer, product, and leadership.
  • Develop deep expertise in both Prismera and the operational reality of institutional CRE.

Who You Are

  • 2 to 5 years in commercial real estate, ideally in asset management, portfolio operations, leasing, acquisitions, or another workflow-heavy role where you worked closely with the underlying documents and processes.
  • You are energized by workflows, not intimidated by them. You like understanding how real work gets done and finding the leverage points that make it faster and more scalable.
  • You are highly structured and commercially sharp. You can take an ambiguous customer situation, break it into clear problems, and drive toward outcomes that create real enterprise value.
  • You are strong with people. You build trust with both senior executives and day-to-day operators, and you move between strategic conversations and detailed execution without losing credibility.
  • You are fluent with modern AI tools and excited to work deeply with them. You don't need to be an engineer, but you should be eager to see how they get deployed in serious enterprise settings.
  • You have strong product instincts. You can tell the difference between a one-off customer request and a signal that should shape the roadmap.
  • You move fast, operate with high ownership, and don't wait around for perfect instructions. You close gaps.

Why Now

We have enterprise customers and a product entering a market where the incumbent software was never built for what AI now makes possible. You'd be joining at the earliest stage with the most leverage: not to maintain an existing post-sales machine, but to help define how AI gets deployed across institutional commercial real estate.

This is a chance to help build the new operating layer for an industry that has been underbuilt for decades.
