Reporting to the Controller, you’ll support high-level financial reporting and complex accounting matters while liaising with senior stakeholders and auditors. As a seasoned financial reporting professional, you’ll take ownership of your conclusions, coach senior accountants, and anticipate issues effectively. Your leadership will play an impactful role in developing your team’s talent while upholding PETRONAS’ core values—safety, innovation, integrity, and collaboration.
Key Responsibilities:
• Own the integrity of IFRS financial statements
• Document and defend accounting conclusions appropriately
• Review financial statements before Controller evaluations
• Act as the first escalation point for complex issues
Requirements:
• CPA with extensive post-designation experience
• In-depth IFRS knowledge and problem-solving expertise
• At least 2 years of leadership in financial accounting
• Strong oil, gas, and Joint Venture accounting background
• Advanced ERP proficiency, ideally in SAP
