Role Description The Financial Management Director is a full-time, remote role responsible for overseeing the financial health and strategic planning of EigenLayer. This role includes leading financial planning and analysis, building and maintaining financial models, and developing budgets and forecasts to support organizational decision-making. The director will manage financial reporting, review and interpret financial statements, and provide data-driven insights to senior leadership on performance, risk, and opportunities. Day-to-day tasks involve coordinating month-end and quarter-end close activities, optimizing financial processes and controls, and ensuring compliance with relevant standards and policies. The role also includes partnering with cross-functional teams on resource allocation, investment decisions, and long-term financial strategy, while mentoring finance team members and implementing best practices.
Qualifications
- Strong proficiency in financial planning and finance, including budgeting, forecasting, and strategic financial analysis.
- Experience preparing, reviewing, and interpreting financial statements and financial reporting for internal and external stakeholders.
- Advanced analytical skills, with the ability to translate complex data into clear insights and recommendations.
- Background in corporate or startup finance; experience in technology, fintech, or blockchain sectors is beneficial.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., CFA, CPA) is an asset.
- Proven ability to design and improve financial processes, controls, and tools, including proficiency with modern financial software and spreadsheets.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a remote, distributed environment.
- Demonstrated leadership experience, including guiding teams, influencing stakeholders, and supporting strategic decision-making.
