Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Financial Director / Financial Controller at Deakin & Francis, located in Birmingham, UK. The successful candidate will bring strong financial leadership experience, commercial awareness, and strategic thinking, with the ability to operate within a heritage-led family business environment. The role will involve overseeing financial planning, reporting, and analysis across the business, while ensuring strong financial controls and processes are maintained throughout.
The ideal candidate will have
• Strong financial leadership experience with the ability to support both day-to-day operations and long-term business growth.
• Commercial awareness and strategic thinking, with confidence in guiding financial decision-making across the business.
• Ideally, previous experience within a manufacturing or product-led environment.
• The ability to work collaboratively within a long-established family business, understanding the importance of heritage, relationships, and continuity.
