We are seeking an accomplished Finance Director to provide strategic financial leadership in a high‑growth, complex aviation business. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, this role operates as a trusted advisor to executive leadership, shaping financial strategy, governance, and long‑term value creation.
A typical day, you would be responsible for:
- Act as a senior strategic finance partner to the Managing Director and leadership team to drive sustainable growth and value creation
- Lead financial strategy, planning, budgeting, forecasting, and performance management
- Strengthen financial governance, compliance, internal controls, and regulatory compliance
- Drive enterprise‑level financial risk management and decision support
- Deliver high‑quality financial insight, analysis, and scenario modelling
- Drive business development by delivering clear financial insights, modelling and commercial assessment of growth opportunities
- Lead finance transformation initiatives including systems, processes, and capabilities
- Manage and advise on relationships with external stakeholders, JV partner, including auditors, regulators, financial institutions, and professional advisors
- Build, mentor, and lead a high‑performing finance leadership team
- Support M&A activity, including due diligence and post‑merger integration
- Collaborate with operational and commercial leaders to align financial and business strategy
About you:
- Senior finance leadership experience within large, complex, operationally intensive organisations
- Proven ability to operate as a trusted advisor at executive level
- Proven strategic Finance Director or equivalent experience within aviation, manufacturing, logistics, or similarly complex industries
- Strong commercial acumen combined with disciplined financial control and governance
- Track record in financial governance, risk management, and transformation
- ACCA or ACA qualification (or international equivalent); CPA/CFA/CMA highly regarded
- Excellent communication skills and fluency in English, additional languages an advantage
