As we continue to strengthen our Scandinavian business, we are looking for a Financial Controller with 5+ years of financial management experience to join our Finance team.
This role is key in ensuring financial accuracy, compliance, and efficiency across our operations while supporting strategic decision-making.
📊 Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Financial Controller to oversee financial reporting, budgeting, and audit processes. The role requires strong analytical skills, deep knowledge of financial systems, and the ability to ensure accuracy, compliance, and efficiency across all financial operations.
🔑 Key Responsibilities
Financial Closing & Reporting
- Contribute to month-end and year-end close processes as part of the finance team.
- Prepare and maintain monthly financial reports (Cash Flow, Balance Sheet, management reports).
- Prepare financial cost breakdowns and CapEx breakdowns.
- Analyze AR aging reports, fund analyses, accruals, equity breakdowns, and development cost reports.
Financial Control & Compliance
- Support quality control over assigned financial transactions and reporting areas.
- Oversee IC balances and turnovers.
- Monitor P&L reports at store, country, and consolidated levels, providing feedback and corrections.
- Support external audit processes and ensure compliance with year-end audit requirements.
Budgeting & Forecasting
- Prepare yearly Cash Flow estimates and maintain a weekly payment calendar.
- Support annual budgeting processes.
- Monitor and analyze budget vs. actual performance, including financial and CapEx costs.
- Control P&L budgets across levels, providing feedback to Operational Managers, Department Heads, and Leadership.
- Consolidate budgets into multiple reporting formats.
- Support Development team with return calculations and performance analysis.
Ad-Hoc Analysis & Strategic Support
- Deliver financial insights and ad-hoc analysis for management.
- Support additional finance projects and tasks as delegated.
🎯 Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or similar.
- Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in financial management, reporting, and budgeting.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and internal controls.
- Proficiency in financial systems and reporting tools (e.g., PBI, ERP systems, Excel).
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to provide clear feedback to stakeholders.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
