Financial Controller – Renewable Energy

We are supporting a growing international renewable energy business in the search for a Financial Controller to join their Amsterdam-based finance team.
This is a high-impact role with responsibility across group reporting, consolidation, and financial control within a multi-entity, international structure.
The Role
You’ll play a key role in delivering accurate and timely financial reporting across the group, including:
- Preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidated financial statements (IFRS)
- Managing and improving the group consolidation process
- Supporting statutory reporting and year-end accounts
- Ensuring compliance with IFRS and internal policies
- Leading month-end and year-end close processes
- Acting as a key contact for external auditors
- Preparing technical accounting papers
- Driving improvements in controls, reporting, and processes
- Supporting finance-led projects linked to growth and operational efficiency
About You
- Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA or equivalent)
- Strong experience in financial control, group reporting, and consolidation
- Excellent IFRS knowledge
- Background in renewable energy (essential)
- Experience in international / multi-entity environments
- Strong technical and stakeholder management skills
- Fluent in English
Preferred Background
- Trained in a leading firm such as KPMG, Deloitte, PwC or EY
- Experience across practice + industry
- Exposure to fast-growth, project-led or infrastructure-backed energy businesses (Projects in development).
- Experience with consolidation across a group.
