A well-established and growing Irish organisation is seeking an experienced Finance Manager / Financial Controller to join its finance team. This is a key leadership position offering broad responsibility across financial control, reporting, treasury, compliance and team leadership within a dynamic, multi-entity business.
The Opportunity
This role will suit a hands on finance professional who enjoys combining strong financial control & accounting expertise with leadership and continuous improvement. You'll have the opportunity to influence business performance, develop people, and drive best practice across the finance function.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with the CFO to support the strategic direction of the finance function.
- Prepare and review monthly management accounts and financial reporting.
- Lead the month-end close process, ensuring robust financial controls.
- Manage statutory reporting, tax and regulatory compliance.
- Oversee treasury, cashflow forecasting and banking activities.
- Support annual external audits and maintain strong governance.
- Lead and develop a finance team, fostering collaboration and accountability.
- Drive process improvements, automation and enhanced financial reporting.
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external advisors.
About You
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
- Minimum five years' experience in a senior finance leadership or Financial Controller role.
- Strong technical accounting, financial reporting and controls experience.
- Previous experience leading and developing finance teams.
- Commercially aware with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Confident communicating with senior stakeholders across the business.
- Advanced Excel skills with experience using ERP or finance systems.
